No superiority or inferiority between the two drugs has been documented
Most of our renal transplanted patients with hepatitis C infections were acquired as a result of unavailability of hepatitis C screening in old era. Thus majority of them are on AZP and cyclosporin rather than MMF with satisfactory graft survival for decades.One pt post KT at 17 th year died of HCCA as a result of cirrhosis due to hepatits C : he had excellent graft function with normal range Creatinine with AZP, and CyA .
Antimetabolites agents should be avoided whenever possible in patients affected by hepatitis C
