Over the last decade, a mysterious decline in bees has been noticed in several countries / agro-ecosystems around the world. This decline (die-off) could be caused, for example, by parasites (mites), pathogens (bacteria), pesticide application, consumption of pollens from transgenic plants, climate change and/or habitat losses, posing a real threat to a wide range of crops and biodiversity dynamics. According to you, which is (are) the main cause(s) (based on providing examples of potential research studies) resulting in this alarming decline? and which are the best solutions to be adopted for avoiding further decline in bees?. Sharing your knowledge about this important topic is highly appreciated.
