The South American tomato leafminer Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) is currently a key, devastating insect pest of tomato in several European/Mediterranean countries. Management of this pest can be achieved through adoption of different pest control methods such as pheromone-based tools (mass trapping, mating disruption), chemical control, biological control, etc. However, among environmentally safe control approaches, biological control using parasitoid wasps is considered a promising tactic for effectively managing this pest. In this regard, according to you, which is (are) the most efficient parasitoid species that could be capable of sufficiently and sustainably controlling T. absoluta infesting tomatoes in the aforementioned geographical areas?
