Binary logistic regression is a common regression analysis when the dependent variable is dichotomous. I have an intervention in a group of patients and based on their response rate, patients are divided in 2 groups of respondents and nonresponders. When I run the analysis, SPSS assigns 1 to nonrespondes and 0 to responders.

I have 2 questions here:

1) Results are interpreted for the group with value 1 (here nonresponders). but can I interpret results for the responders (takes value 0) too?

2) When I rerun the analysis with reverse coding, every statistic (including significant predictors) is the same except for the odd ratio amount and beta value (- +) which is opposite. Which group encoding should be reported? The one that gives me higher ODD ratio?

Thank you!
