Our study investigated a real time PCR technique as a diagnostic tool, and for virulotyping (screnning of virulence genes) by real time PCR; can anyone suggest some journals (free of charges plz) thanks
JOURNAL OF MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY (JMM), a journal of the Society for General Microbiology (SGM), is one of the leading peer-reviewed journals in the field, providing comprehensive coverage of medical, dental and veterinary microbiology and infectious diseases, including bacteriology, virology, mycology and parasitology. JMM currently has an impact factor of 2.297 (2012).
Thanks for your answers but i tkink peer reviewed journals are not necessary with charges like molecular and cellular probes (for that one at least i m sure since i submitted a paper there)
will consider journal of medical microbiology and journal of applied microbiology thank u
Research in Microbiology is the direct descendant of the original Pasteur periodical entitled Annales de l'Institut Pasteur, created in 1887 by Emile Duclaux under the patronage of Louis Pasteur. The Editorial Committee included Chamberland, Grancher, Nocard, Roux and Straus, and the first issue began with Louis Pasteur's "Lettre sur la Rage" which clearly defines the spirit of the journal:"You have informed me, my dear Duclaux, that you intend to start a monthly collection of articles entitled "Annales de l'Institut Pasteur". You will be rendering a service that will be appreciated by the ever increasing number of young scientists who are attracted to microbiological studies. In your Annales, our laboratory research will of course occupy a central position, but the work from outside groups that you intend to publish will be a source of competitive stimulation for all of us."That first volume included 53 articles as well as critical reviews and book reviews. From that time on, the Annales appeared regularly every month, without interruption, even during the two world wars. Although the journal has undergone many changes over the past 100 years (in the title, the format, the language) reflecting the evolution in scientific publishing, it has consistently maintained the Pasteur tradition by publishing original reports on all aspects of microbiology.
And you have also:
Diagnostic Microbiology and Infectious Disease IF=2.260
Diagnostic Microbiology and Infectious Disease keeps you informed of the latest developments in clinical microbiology and the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Packed with rigorously peer-reviewed articles and studies in bacteriology, immunology, immunoserology, infectious diseases, mycology, parasitology, and virology. The journal examines new procedures, unusual cases, controversial issues, and important new literature.
thank U Ms Marrakchi, i'm actually intrested with 'Research in Microbiology' but i think i need to find journals with a lower impact factor unfortunately, can't wait for my first paper to be published but it's not that easy
