maybe someone with experience in the field of cytotoxicity testing of materials for medical use may help me. I have two possible cell lines available in my lab: mrc-5 and 3T3 fibroblasts. According with the ISO 10993-5 guide I should use

“For example, cell lines American Type Culture Collection CCL 1 (NCTC clone 929), CCL 163 (Balb/3T3 clone A31),

CCL 171 (MRC-5) and CCL 75 (WI-38), CCL 81 (Vero) and CCL 10 [BHK-21 (C-13)] and V-79 379A are endorsed by ISO

experts to be suitable”

I don’t have the A31 clone of 3T3 cells, would you recommend me to use MRC-5 cells instead? Or regular 3T3 cells may be useful for this kind of evaluation?

thanks in advance
