I'm planning on working with the new herbal mouth wash and mouth spray formulations. I would like to do in vitro toxicity studies. Can anyone suggest a good cell line for this purpose and where can I get them from?

I think that, you can use fibroblast cell line. Fibroblasts are the most common cells of body. If you intend to buy appriopriate cell line, I suggest the gingival fibroblasts, for example Human gingival fibroblasts (HGF-1, purchased from ATCC). However, if you possess other fibroblast cells, for example derived from skin, you also can use them as experimental model. I also suggest to use normal cell line.
