Normal buffer tank and power supply is fine. No need expensive version but practicable design . and the price is second priority.
Thank you in advance
BIORAD is fine, check:
https://www.bio-rad.com/en-it/category/horizontal-electrophoresis-systems?ID=6712bcc6-458e-43f7-9d93-3cdacdc741ac
even the smallest Mini-Sub® Cell GT Cell work well and results are reproducible :)
Thermo fisher scientific and Bio-rad, both are fine.
Hello
I recommend BioRad and no other brands!
I like
gel casting: Biorad
- Mini Sub-Cell GT Horizontal --> up to 15 sample/line (max 30 in parallel)
using about 50ml of agarosse
- Wide mini Sub-Cell GT Horizontal Electrophoresis Cell --> up to 30 sample/line (max 60 in parallel) using about 120 ml of agarose
both gel can assembled using the same gel caster, which is very simple to use.
power supply: Consort EV 2310 https://it.vwr.com/store/product/586835/alimentatori-serie-ev2xx
gel stain (instead : Gel red safe stain 10000X https://it.vwr.com/store/product/27485847/gelred-10000-in-dmso-nucleic-acid-gel-stain
good luck
Manuele
Any ideas about alternative PCR rack. There are more than 5000 tubes right now. I don't know why PCR rack is so expensive (for me). I tried polystyrene foam and pipette tip boxes. It doesn't work...

Can someone please give me some possible things that could go wrong? Here is my recipe: 0.5g Agarose 50 mL of TAE 1x 1 uL ethyl bromide. Gel was run at 100V for 1 hour. The buffer used is also TAE.
