Which axonal diameter do I use to calculate the g-ratio?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on looking at some electron microscopy pictures of axons to calculate the g-ratio. However, the axons are not very regular in shape, as in the oval shapes creates a shorter and a longer diameter. Which of these should I use when I calculate the g-ratio?
