I'm writing to request some suggestions on where to publish review articles? basically looking for authentic, peer-reviewed journals that have the least duration possible from submission to publication.
I agree with Dr. Dean Whitehead, and the review article: give an overview of existing literature in a field, often identifying specific problems or issues and analysing information from available published work on the topic with a balanced perspective.1 These are considered as secondary literature and can be a particularly efficient way for early career researchers to begin publishing. Review articles can be of three types, broadly speaking: literature reviews, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Review articles are usually long, with the maximum word limit being 3000-5000 or even more, depending on the journal.1-3 However, some journals also publish short reviews.
Review articles can be published in general or speciality Journals usually on invitation by the Editor. There are Journals that publish only reviews and they would accept articles usually without prior invitations. Best regards
Finding suitable journal for review paper submission is not easy because most of the journals don't publish review papers easily. I am agree with Mushatq Ahmad. If you want to submit your review paper better send to the journal that you cited more. Also, you can use journal finder if you wanna submit to Elsevier and springer.
Hi all. All good answers solar. Until Adnan responds and lets us know what he means by review article their is little that we can do. For instance, if it is a 'media review' (i.e. book review) article that he is referring to - many journals do not now accept them - or they are by personal invitation from the Review Editor. If is is a meta-analysis systematic review - then that is a much different matter.
My review article is not a meta-analysis, however that would have been a much better approach had I adopted it early on in my PhD. But I am slowly working up towards a systematic review/meta-analysis within Entrepreneurial Career intentions with a focus on Entrepreneurial Policy and Education within the developing economies (I guess I shouldn't share Ideas here, but then again we are all professionals and scholars here). But that meta-analysis is for post PhD.
The initial question I asked was in reference to maybe a list of journals that focused on publishing review articles within the Careers research and more specific in the self-employment research domain.
All in all, the responses above are all supportive and researchgate is working to its potential of connecting scholars and peer-to-peer helping in a way. If anyone has any further suggestions within the specifics I've given above, I would really appreciate the inputs.
