Can someone advice where could I get Spirulina and Chlorella cells for commercial use?
We source our pure algae and cyanobacteria cultures from UTEX (https://utex.org/) and have been happy with the products they've sent. They do ship internationally. Side note: I've found their resource pages to be very helpful with cultivation techniques.
Are you concerned about licensing, royalties, legal/litigation, infringement, confidentiality issues related to commercial applications?
I'm with a company and have some restrictions regarding the extent of information I can provide before becoming a consultation function. If you approach the ATCC for example, you might need to go through certain documentation and legal processes depending upon how the strain and which strain was deposited with that organization. It appears that you are associated with a University so it might be prudent to check with the university attorneys or consul/barristers to get their input for commercial intent. Chances are you may have no restrictions at all and it's clear sailing but you might not want to take the slim chance that there could be subsequent litigation. -good luck
