I would like to see the effect of ultrasound waves in gaseous medium (like pressure, tempreature etc. ) Is there any CFD software where I can add ultrasound transducer as a source and see its effect?
k-Wave is an open source acoustics toolbox for MATLAB and C++ . The software is designed for time domain acoustic and ultrasound simulations in complex and tissue-realistic media. The simulation functions are based on the k-space pseudospectral method and are both fast and easy to use. The toolbox includes:
You can try the sonicFOAM solver in OpenFOAM ( https://www.openfoam.com/documentation/guides/latest/man/sonicFoam.html ). The HiSA solver by Oliver Oxtoby ( https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Oliver_Oxtoby/research) and his colleagues may also be relevant, but I'm not sure.
