2024 was predicted to be a very active hurricane system - e.g. NOAA 17-25 named storms with 8-13 as hurricanes and 4-7 major https://www.noaa.gov/news-release/noaa-predicts-above-normal-2024-atlantic-hurricane-season

Over halfway through the season, 2024 has had 5 named storms and 3 hurricanes only was major.

The same folks predict weather and temperature through the end of the century.
