When using ANCOVA,, it is easy to obtain the adjusted mean, but how do we obtain the adjusted standard deviation?

An easier way is to do the ANCOVA as a regression problem. Then you will have most of what you want directly in the output. See Montgomery Design and analysis of experiments that ANCOVA material near the end of the book. Best wishes David Booth
