Has biotechnology made significant progress in green technology? Challenges like insufficient infrastructure and regulatory complexities remain. I agree with you that human lifespan can reach 150 years with advancement in biotechnology. While biotechnology advancements, healthier lifestyles and innovative therapies can extend life expectancy and improve quality, they cannot fully overcome the intrinsic ageing built into our biological system.
"Life is sustainable only if environment gives company". Humanity's long-term survival and well-being are fundamentally dependent on the health and support of the natural environment. This concept is the core of environmental sustainability, which recognizes that finite natural resources, a stable climate, and healthy ecosystems are essential for all life to thrive, now and in the future. For life to persist and flourish, the environment must not only be tolerated but also "give company" which means it must be a resilient partner that continues to support life's processes and provide the necessary conditions for existence.
Biotechnology has already achieved notable successes in green technology but faces ongoing challenges in its path to widespread implementation. The future holds significant potential for these technologies to play an even greater role in a sustainable, low-carbon society. Every living thing depends largely on the environment for survival and having a clean and safe environment is solely in the hands of the human beings. It is only when the environment is protected can human survive 150 years. Just as AI-driven drug discovery and cell therapies are reshaping the future of human health, there should similar progress in biotechnology to facilitate a circular economy, predict and mitigate climate change effects, and protect biodiversity, ultimately working to create a more sustainable future for life on earth.
