I am writing up the standard operating procedure for the autoclave and realised that there is a cycle called "Dissolution". I have not used it before but from the manual that I read, it is used for the dissolution of agar. Does this mean the dissolution of agar waste?

Hi there,
in some labs media containing agar are autoclaved but not poured to plates directly but stored in the original bottle. By using this program the already autoclaved but solid medium in the bottle is heated up (usually 80°C) and thereby liquid again for pouring.
