I am using retinol for some cell culture experiments, and I am following the common protocol of making a 0.01M stock solution in DMSO and further diluting it using cell culture media. In the second step, though, I note that retinol precipitates a little. Is this normal? Will retinol work as expected? Any suggestions to achieve a perfect retinol solution in cell culture media?

Thank you for your response! Do you think that this will lead to a better solubilization of Retinoic Acid in the cell culture medium as well?

I have not worked with cell cultures for a long time
Retinioc acid is insoluble in water, with a higer temperatura it may take longer to precipitate and it will take longer to penetrate cells
