Dear researchers,

I and my three colleagues are PhD students. We are currently working on a small project which is investigating the opinion of the scientific community regarding the credibility of statistical analysis.

The question is therefore general and aimed at all the researchers who apply any form of statistical analysis. We hope that we can start a constructive discussion which will benefit not only us, but a wider scientific community by asking the following question:

When reviewing or discussing a scientific study, what makes you think that the results of a statistical analysis are credible?

The question is intentionally open-ended and we are interested in your personal opinion on the matter. Lastly, if you happen to know someone who is interested in this or a similar question, please share our post with him/her. Also, all the literature recommendations are welcome!

Thank you in advance for your answers!

Best regards,

Andreas, Heidi, Sandro, Nenad
