Apoptotic turnover rate, depends on the cell type and the stimulus used to induce apoptosis. Also, there will be differences between in-vitro and in-vivo experiences.
There is a lot of proliferation but very little apoptosis detected (less than 5%). Unless you take the thymocytes out and culture them for a few hours at 37C then there is a lot of aoptosis (this is a good positive control for apoptosis)
