Some authors use a dosage of 1 μg/kg in 10 minutes followed by a continuous infusion of 1 μg / kg / h. Capasso R. recently in a work published in October 2018 uses a dosage of 1.5 μg / kg followed by a continuous infusion of 1.5 μg/kg/h.
Personally I have used Dexdor only in a handful of situations in the endoscopy room (1microg/kg once 10min, after that 0.6 - 0.7microg/kg/h in a continuous infusion). A lot more helpful is DHBP (dehydrobenzperidol): something you can give as an additional sedative during procedures next to your Midazolam and opioid, without causing extra respiratory depression (5mg or 10mg IV in shot).
