I agree with Sebastien. I remember fully lithiated graphite appears golden yellow.

Here is a reference in which the golden yellow color of LiC6 is explicitely mentioned. We only worked with KC8 which has a bronce-colored appearance.

Not just LiC6 is in the color of golden yellow, K-ion intercalated graphite (KC8) is also in the similar color of golden yellow (details can be found in my research Sandwich-Like FeCl3@C as High-Performance Anode Materials for Potassium-Ion Batteries).

Deping Li in our hands KC8 had a much darker, copper-like color.
