Recently check the cell lines, 60% of the cell lines are infected with Mycoplasma. Some common antibiotics for treating Mycoplasma were used to treat cells for 3 weeks, but mycoplasma is still there. We also bought some kit, the Mynox Mycoplasma Elimination Kit from Sigma. However, one kit is only for one cell line, but we have so many cell lines and that would cost thousands.

Is there any good way to eliminate Mycoplasma and be cheap?

I checked some documents showing surfactin is good. Anyone know this reagent?
