In the next month I am going to field to collect data for my PhD.

I want to measure the amount of pollen carried by pollinators and the amount of pollen deposited on stigmas of certain flower species. My question is following:

What was the best recipe to prepare the fuchsin jelly?

We already prepared one using store bought gelatine, however it turned out to be quite dense and thick?
