Hi everyone,
The GRI mechanism contain all the reactions, and species of NOx, and in the Fluent we can also find the NO models ( prompt, thermal and N2O..), when I added the models I found a big difference between the results of NO...My question is : Which case the fluent used: GRI mech reactions or the NO models? What happened there!!!
Is there any idea explaining to me how the Fluent works?

If you are using GRI mechanism for calculation, you have already incorporated all the pathways by which NOx is produced. Adding NO models will only leads to over prediction of NOx.
Syed Mughees Ali yes, you are right, but NOx= NO ppm+NO2 ppm, and in species results you could find only NO mole fraction, no NO2!! but the mole fraction of Pollutant NO using NOx models is less than NO mole fraction in species, not the opposite you could check that in your simulation...Anyway thank you very much for your answer.

Ansys Fluent uses a separate model to estimate Nox ( this estimation highly depends on the application: combustion mode, Temperature, Pressure......)
The better way is to use reduced mechanism and the result is more accurate then-No model
