I read a patent: Reference EP0352293 A1 year 1988.

They used this component with drug:

Labrasol (PEG-8 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides (USA FDA IIG): An oil-in-water surfactant

Plurol Di Isostearique (Triglycerol diisostearate EP/NF): A non-ionic PEG free water-in-oil emulsifier .

Plurol Isostearique (Polyglyceryl-6 Isostearate): Non ionic saturated emulsifier.

Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate: Co-surfactant

After this they claim this as water in oil microemulsion whereas there is no oil in it. Particle size is also 240nm and its clear slightly yellowish liquid. What should it be called? Is it surfactant based micelles or what type of formulation is it and why?
