What type of constraint should I provide between different properties of steel plate and inclined bar in my composite beam in Abaqus??. I found error when I used coupling/ tie constraint between steel and surface to surface contact between steel and concrete! Kindly help me in this regard
Which DoF you wanted to constraint, for example you wanted to have a perfect bond (then use *MPC tie) or if you wanted to simulate the interaction then you may use the interaction module (tangential and normal penalties depending on your conceptual physical meanings of interaction)
Is there any connection between the steel plate and the inclined bar ?
Please show it in a drawing.
Thank you for your reply sir, herewith I attached drawing, in which the bottom steel plate and inclined bar(both having different properties) need to be weld in phase 1 and surface to surface interaction between all steel and concrete to be done in phase 2. Kindly help me sir
