We are looking to purchase an ERG system to test rodent RGCs, can anyone offer any advice as to which systems/companies are better than others? If possible we'd like to buy a system that combines SLO + ERG. I've heard they exist, does anyone know of any suppliers?
Any of the commercially available ERG/VEP systems can be used. Hopefully you get reply from someone with specialty system for rodents.
If you want to record just an ERG response driven mostly by RGCs, then, as Donald said , most commercially available systems would do it, as they would be able to generate adequate stimulus conditions to generate a photopic negative response (PhNR), originating mostly form RGCs. Why would you prefer to have a combination of an SLO + ERG? Do you have a specific experimental protocol in mind?
One of the systems that is based on a fundus camera might be more appropriate. You could look at:
