What significant bioinformatics work can be done with a gene sequence of unknown function?

I have done some basic analysis.

Its mentioned in the query, its a gene sequence! I have done all that you have mentioned and a bit more, used the Clustal Omega for allignments, the String for interacting partner analysis. Is there anything more that one can do. Just a random Query!
