What should the amplification and time duration be for the re-dispersion of chitosan nanoparticles by sonication?

I am making chitosan nanoparticles by ionic gelation and pelleting them down at 13000 rpm for 30 min. For redispersing them in PBS I am using sonication but after treatment I can see the aggregates in treatment media and no effect on cell viability. I am sonicating nanoparticles at 100% amplification for 10 min. Is it ok or should I change the parameters or there could be any other problem?
