I used Trizol Reagent to isolate RNA. I did what the protocol says. Furthermore, I used 10 ug Glycogen during the RNA precipitation step because of a small number of cells. After ethanol washing, I dissolved the RNA pellet in RNase free water however it did not dissolve. I put my samples into a heat blocker at 58 C. What sould I do?
Trizol obtained RNA pellet should NOT dry under speedvac because if you over-dry it you have to put it in dustbin, no way to dissolve. I had the same problem and after that I dry it at 37 deg for 5-10 min and after it dissolves very easily. Also what Matthias said is correct too but I had the same issue with starch rich tissues.
