Most of the possible products seem to need more energy that the proton usually has available.
Example is the positron and neutron product pair observed in nuclei and possibly in some collapsed stars.
Also published is the theory of a quark converting to a lepton, which seems unlikely and isn’t confirmed.

Decay mechanism of quarks is rather extreme going from uud to e+ and a neutral pion mixture of u(anti u) and d(anti d). Quarks were not understood well in 1967.
