What process to do in order to incorporate Accelerometer(ADXL345) and GPS (Ublox Neo 6M) to get velocity for Vibration Monitoring of SHM.
Good day! I would like to seek help on how to incorporate these two sensors in Arduino in order to get the velocity from the Accelerometer data to be used in Vibration Monitoring.

For GPS, I am not work with it before.
But for good accuracy results, you can using vectornav 100 , it is given good accuracy for all Accelerometer and GPS values beside to cosine matrix and you can develop them with accepted results to velocity and displacement.

Also, if I am to deploy three accelerometers do I need to also have three GPS module for each sensor so that they can calculate velocity?
I am not sure if Vectornav vn100 available or not in your country but you can demand it online from the company website.
Vectornav vn100 included 3D components of accelerometer and GPS so that you are needing only one peice form vectornav vn 100
Regarding to the ablitiy to measure velocity , you can with some approach since this sensor is building for measuring altitude and rotation angles directly but velocity and displacement you need to make integration for accelometer values
Hello Chris! I don't think that a GPS would be right device to measure the velocity in a vibration setup or for that matter, in Simple Harmonic Motion. It simply does not have the resolution and measuring speed so is less useful.
As far as the ADXL devices are considered, yes you can get quite a good result in terms of vibration measurements.
For using these ADXL chips in the SHM measurements say for a pendulum, the question is how are you going to attach these devices to a pendulum?
Good day, do you think GPS is really needed if the sensor node deployed will not move? It is for the purpose of monitoring only.
