In my postgrade and currently years just 2. Both didn't survive a year after the diagnoses.
During the last 20 years working in a big regional academic hospital, it was only 1 young female with inherited pancreatic cancer syndrome.
I have seen 4 patients so far 3 women and one man . All non-syndromic . It seems we are doing more endoscopic ultrasounds and detecting more locally advanced cases , IPMNs and MCN's.
Just one patient in a series of 168 pancreatic cancers. A 28-year old man without history of familial cancer who survived 9 months.
None - this is interesting as we assume that more patients with IPMN are diagnosed these days.
In the last 10 years (~500pts with pc) we observed around 25pts with age below 40. Especially i remember 3 pts undergoing curative resection and are still without recurrence. One female pt with age of 35 had primary acromegalie and polyposis. The youngest pt was 19 with fulminat disease progression and duodenal bleeding.
