Thanks for your comment. It is always interesting to know the opinion of experts on this issue. And the tactics can be different. Patients are very different: primary acute urinary retention, chronic retention of varying degrees, a situation requiring surgery or urinary diversion, patients receiving medical therapy for cancer or radiation therapy or brachytherapy. The tactics will be different.
