Most protocols seem to just state 3 hours of growth.
You should still be inducing them at od~600 of 0.6, that is early to mid log phase. Only thing that can be different is induction temperatur. You can go to low temperature which is not possible with regular de3.
You could use OD600 of 0.6 to 0.8.
