I synthesised copolymer based on PNVC-Ppy. The optical and electronic bad gap of the material was measured to be 1.98 and 2.01 respectively. The polymer dissolved well in chloroform and dichlorobenze. However, when I spin coated the polymer onto PEDOT:PSS layer, I got a very thin layer that hardly showed photovoltaic effect when the current density was measured.

I suspected that the layer was too thin then i drop cast the material on to PEDOT:PSS layer and measured the current density. It gave a low current density unlike the spin coated one but the morphology was very bad.

I varied the concentration of the material in solution and reduced the spin speed, yet to no avail.

Kindly advise on what to do to get the material adhere better onto PEDOT:PSS layer.
