Hello all. My strength is not really in statistics, but I am wondering, for a simple descriptive study, what are some of the tests I can run? especially if I want to test some kinds of association? Thank you
Thanks a lot for your response. I must say It is a very small study with study population of not more than 20. It is for learning purposes in a course. So in that case which of the two tests you have mentioned would be appropriate?
Angela, if you want to appoint an association between the two variables should use one of the correlation. If the data is continuing nature uses the Pearson coefficient. If it is a Likert scale, or ordinal data, the adequate use is Spearman's rank correlation. I hope this will help.
I think am getting the bigger picture now, and in my case then Spearman's rank correlation may be applicable. Thank you for taking the time to share your insights
