I am planning to investigate the socio economic factors: age, income, gender, labor affecting for the adoption of farming practice in rural farmer community. Structural equation model is using to build a relationship among the factors. In what way do I need to prepare the questionnaire for that.
Hair et al. (2014) suggest that the PLS-SEM algorithm works well with binary coded data that are used as a means of categorical control variables or moderators in PLS-SEM models. They further suggest that one should be cautious with the use of categorical (i.e., dummy-coded) scaled data in PLS models as they do have certain limitations.

your question adresses basic principles of questionnaire design. There are way too many to list them here (e. g. make sure you have "enough" indicators per latent variable). I recommend you consult any textbook on the matter before going into the specifics of SEM.

You say you want to look at the causal relationship of several variables "affecting for the adoption of farming practice." The first step is drawing a diagram (more specifically a directed acyclical graph) to help to identify which causes might be measured. Pearl (http://bayes.cs.ucla.edu/BOOK-2K/) is the classic reference. This will help you to decide which variables that you would like to measure.
You may employ a quasi-structured questionnaire or structured questionnaire depending on your research methodology.
