Hi everybody!

In my research, i m isolation protoplast from Undaria pinnatifida gametophyte using cellulase (2%) and alginate lyase (3 U/ml). I was thinking to use a mixture design in order to know the best proportions of each enzyme in my enzymatic mix but I have some problems here:

1) Both enzymes use different concentrations units (cellulase uses percentage and alginate lyase, enzymatic units). If i convert the last one to percentage this value will be very low compared with cellulase.

2) Using ratios instead of proportions is also an option, but in this case I only have two components (and obviously 1 ratio). Is it possible to perform a mixture design using only 1 ratio?

Many thanks in advance
