I would like reduce the acid consumption in low grade copper ores heap leaching by use HPGR for communation, find suitable combination for fresh acid and rafinet and find optimal rate and time of spraying acid. What is your idea? Thanks.
i use MODDE software for experments design and i selected full factor experments designe for my analyse. i need some informations about affecting parameters and the levels of factors such as the range of HPGR pressure.
There may be a few things you could do to cut down on acid consumption. First, identify the gangue and minerals that are consuming the acid. If a pocket of ore is carbonate heavy, for example, evaluate whether it is worth adding to the leach pad. Second, apply an initial heavy acid load cure to your fresh lift before leaching with a lower strength raffinate. Lastly, use minerals that will generate acid for you, like pyrite.
I think your question should be asked differently: What should be done, the acid consumption in copper heap leaching so to reduce, that an optimum result be achieved: recovery of copper / expense.
The optimization of the acid used depends greatly on the mined an prepared copper ores, so that the optimization can only be derived locally. I can therefore only general rules for optimizing of the acid consumption in copper ores heap leaching explain for you. These are very well summarized in the enclosed literature.
What I can definitely recommend, support through the use of bacteria technology (bacterial leaching).Bacterial processes co-exist with chemical leaching perfectly.
Sorry for my correction, I hope I could help you, good luck
