COUNCIL OF I NDIA IN SEPTEMBER 2015
a. Index agencies: Scopus, PubMed, Medline,
Embase/Excerpta Medica, Index Medicus and
Index Copernicus
b. Types of articles to be considered: Original
research articles and original research papers.
c. Criteria for National/International journal:
Published by a National/International –
specialty journal/journal of a national/
international society provided it is included in
one of the indexes mentioned above.
d. Authorship: First author, second author
e. E-journals: E-journals not included

Dear @Ramana, it was written in indexing section: " Some journals listed on this index, and their publishers appear on Beall’s list of potentially predatory journals. In fact, Beall’s blog says “Index Copernicus has no value” ..."
For me, revision is needed, as Indian Medical Science will not be competitive at international level as long as such criteria are applied.

Index Copernicus has some value, of course - perhaps, better than various JIFs, GIFs and other "indexes" journals design themselves. I am talking here about so called "open access" journals, which publish everything, if only authors pay.

I respect your opinion. I doubt what you said about index copernicus. I believe their value is based on points awarded taking in to consideration what journals have filled in the IC application form. I also don't see index copernicus accumulating journal articles neither as abstracts nor in full.
