I have experience with an adapter ligation method that nicely highlights transcript ends (published last year: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22319605) and the widely used dUTP-method.
What are your favourites and experiences in terms of specificity and homogeneity of transcript coverage?
We published this protocol earlier this year. It's strand specific without ligations or dUTP. We get great coverage across the transcripts and the method itself of very fast and inexpensive.

Thanks Zachary for this hint! Your method looks especially interesting because of its sensitivity towards low RNA quantities.
I've also experimented with semi-random primers before but a bit differently, though. The polymerase which adds CCC is new to me and solves the problem of the undefined 3'-end of the cDNA.
