These E-mitters are made by the company used to be called Mini-mitter, now called Starr Life Sciences after M&A. I recently started using them (G2 transmitters) to record body temperature and activities in mice. They are small, easily implantable in mice, wireless, does not require battery, reusable, so it is great. However, two of the four new E-mitters I got showed inaccurate temperature readings (3 and 1.3 degree lower than the rectal temperature, respectively) after they were implanted in the mice, while the other two were OK (less than 0.5 degree C discrepancy).
