Need more details. By 'sample volume' do you mean the volume of sample in the NMR tube? That is independent of the field and depends on the probe. It's the concentration that matters.

Thanks all for your comments. Dr. Rudraksha, I'm referring to the size of the sample that comes from the cell culture that is going to be used for the extraction. I understand that this depends on the growth phase you're interested in (for exponential phase you will need more sample to get the optimal OD compared to a log phase culture). In the cited article from Halouska et al. they commented that a final OD of 10-20 is recommended. But I don't know if this applies for all the spectrometers, since the sensitivity of a 400 MHz is lower than those observed for higher fields. So I want to have an idea of the size of cell culture sample that usually gives a good signal after the extraction. Thanks!
