Now I am trying to design multi layer dielectric (MLD) grating at 1060 nm range. For the case of 1 dimension grating, it has polarization dependent characteristics. But I want to design MLD grating which is independent of polarization. It means both p and s polarized beam have high diffraction efficiency.
What is the structure for polarization independent MLD grating?

Dear Hyun-Ju Cho,
I assume you consider normal incidence of light.
One trick is to add a second dimension to the periodicity. I mean crossed MLD gratings(2D gratings).
Square shaped pillars can provide high diffraction efficiency for both p and s polarized light in case of normal incidence.
