Bioinformatics is a relatively new discipline that combine biology, statistics and computer science. It is essential for all the new "omics" methodologies but how extensive is its teaching ? I know several workshops and courses from basics to specific topics but I don't know if there are programs for undergraduate and/or graduate students in colleges and universities. Do (or did) you have any classes/program/workshop in your college/university/company/research institute/high school ? How accessible is this program ? Did you just learn bioinformatic by yourself or doing a internship/PhD/postdoc in a laboratory ? Thanks.
