Hello everyone, I want to ask about the stability of Pt in basic medium. I want to use Pt substrate for my material using hydrothermal method and I want to know its stability. Thank you Chandan Kumar. But I use higly alkaline medium for synthesis of my material so do you think it will stable??? If yes then could you share some literature or reference material so that I could understand its chemistry. Thank you for your suggestion.

Planitum is rather hard to dissolve and hydrothermal treatment is not a problem in general. The problem may come if you have strong oxidants (say peroxides) in combination with complexation agents (cyanides).
