Dissimilarity analysis in general with the help od any tools & techniques are the methods to estimate presences of variability and at the same time homoginity also. Statistical tools helps in making decision on this aspects. This is also good for isolating isogenic/pure line and vice versa . Markers assited dicesiond for selecting similar and discaring odds as the case may be is one of the realible technique and the results shoul be compare with the data under actual field conditions.

Similarity / Dissimilarity is the two side of same coin, is a germplasm in question is having "X" similarity then the rest (1-X) is the dissimilarity . It may be expressed in terms of unit or ratio or even percent .
