With CMV being a wide-spread infection, the presence of IgG antibodies against CMV is not a surprise on routine evaluation and is not usually of clinical significance. However, when these are detected in high titre in a patient being evaluated for autoimmune disease like vasculitis, how is the significance of the same determined considering CMV is implicaed in autoimmune phenomena?
