For acknowledgment, it is very important from the ethical point of view to put any person who shared you in the work by any mean. For the benefit that you could gain, some universities may consider during the periodic evaluation of the concerned researcher and even help for scale upgrading. So for sure it may give scientific weight for the researcher. For using the paper presented in an international conference, many conferences publish the abstract of the work on their web-site and sometimes in special issues of very high ranked journals specially if the conference is organized by high ranked body for example ESPJAN or AAP. You can cite the abstract, use it in your CV, and use it in your scientific activities for upgrading at your university and academic level.
If you are presenting a paper you just acknowledged in a paper, I think your sharing is not significant so you are not allowed to present the paper in a conference or to put it in your CV.
